Storm Crossed

(a poem for Zeus)

A deep-throated rumble stirs the heavens
And with a nod, the earth shakes
His storm grey gaze summons me
And I surrender.
I fall, as so many before me have
Into love, lightning-quick.
My will, my reason,
Brushed away by the barest hint of his lips against mine.
